Elwell missed his cue and was slow away, making him still alongside Clarke when they reached the first bend.
They tangled forcing them to the armco at speed. Finnikin was slotted into the duo and the race was stopped.
The restart saw both Elwell & Finnikin sidelined which left Lund a free run to the lead.
In an uneventful race the lead three were rarely challenged from the opening laps.
