How did you find Brisca F1 Stock Cars?
I first attended a race meeting at Belle Vue (the proper one) in 1968, (when I was 6 and I got proper muddy so my old man tells me!!) It was a family trip out as at the time Belle Vue still had the fun fair and wrestling hall. All our family went plus my Aunties family, we went a couple of times and then the next time I remember going was the 1969 world final that Smithy won then sort of regularly did Belle Vue's spreading to Rochdale , White City etc.
What gave you the incentive to race
Was watching since I was 7 and then mechaniced for Smithy #391 so thought i would have a go

First car bought of 147 Steve thompson was a Derek Coleman car
Memory of your first race.
Bradford it snowed during the race and i finished 5th
Best Racing Memory
Getting 8th in a final at Bradford but everyone in front of me was a red or super and we was just flat out top 8 finished on same straight plus more behind me
Worst Racing Memory
Getting injured at Bradford car was stranded against the fence at the end of the straight and another car hit me flat out
Reason for Retiring
Cost and nowhere to keep car
After Retiring - What Then?
Keep busy with clerking and stewarding but not fuly retires because I have raced in Australia and new zealand and still do
