How did you find Brisca F1 Stock Cars?
When I was 6 years old I went to watch my uncle race (Phil Bicknell No. 7). That was it, I was hooked and went to every meeting I could.
What gave you the incentive to race
Just had to have a go, after watching it from the other side of the fence and repairing the car every week. Thought it was my time to wreck the car!
First Car - Built, Bought or Borrowed
First car I borrowed was Phil Bicknell's Wainman built car which he bought off Dave Cusack.
Memory of your first race.
First race was in a mechanic's race when I think I hit every part of the fence at Brafield. Found out later that all the air shocks had been blown up to max for a joke so the car wouldn't go round!
Best Racing Memory
Northampton meeting when they had split the cars to A and B class. Could actually finish somewhere without top drivers lapping me three times before the race finish. Think I got a 4th place that day.
Worst Racing Memory
Day I got hurt at Skegness. Smashed Phil's car up when 3 to 4 cars hit me at the end of the front straight. Spent 4 days in hospital with badly bruised and twisted spine.
Reason for Retiring
Injury played a part, buying a house and sport getting a little too expensive.
After Retiring - What Then?
Trying to get my daughter's Ellie and Hannah interested in the sport so I can buy a mini and get them racing.
