How did you find Brisca F1 Stock Cars?
Roger Yarrow was friends with my parents and mentioned to them about going to a meeting, so we all went along and I've been hooked ever since.
What gave you the incentive to race
Having mechaniced for Pete Bashford (Basher) #107, Danny Clarke #203 and helping Will and Charlie Yarrow with their ministox I really wanted to try my hand at driving. Then whilst mechanicing for Wayne Handley #378 I finally got my chance.
First Car - Built, Bought or Borrowed
Borrowed Wayne Handley's shale car then borrowed Danny Clarke's car to win the Novice of the Year race.
Memory of your first race.
Just enjoying every moment after finally getting the chance rather than being a spectator or mechanic.
Best Racing Memory
Winning consolation and final at Skeggy when it was shale.
Worst Racing Memory
Having to watch the '98' semi final at Birmingham after qualifying on the 7th row due to an engine fault on my car.
Reason for Retiring
Rising costs and family commitments made racing unaffordable and unpractical for me.
After Retiring - What Then?
Since retiring I now mechanic for Will Yarrow #22 as 'crew chief'.
