My dad taking me to Hartlepool as a child on a thursday night and weekends
What gave you the incentive to race
Started helping Michael Smith when I was 13 and Michael sorted out a day licence for the grand national meeting at Northampton in 1994
First Car - Built, Bought or Borrowed
Michael let me use his first car which was Paul Harrison's. I was going to use it a few more times the following year but Sean Tilly (94) bought it.
Memory of your first race.
I couldn't believe I was in a race with Frankie Wainman Jr and John Lund who won the grand national championsip.
Best Racing Memory
My funniest memory of my only meeting was Geoff Smith during practice. He said "How do you think it's going?" and I said "The car shakes all the time" his immediate reply was "Try going faster as they tighten up when you go faster than tick over!!" lol. (plus taking Michael's only wet tyres when it rained).
Worst Racing Memory
The rain it never stopped at the only meeting I done.
Reason for Retiring
Mechanicing for Michael in F1's then in pick ups and still do to date.
After Retiring - What Then?
I've raced F2's since 2005 on and off some wrecks along the way. Still go to watch F1's but mainly championship meetings when Michael or me arnt racing.
