Having been on the other side of the fence for 20 years, I decided to take the plunge and hire a car for the first meeting after my 21st birthday. A deal was done with Frankie Jnr #515 and I arrived at Crewe very excited. It was full of firsts - First time I had ever worn a helmet, first time I had been belted into an F1 car, first time I had driven one solo and that was all before I got onto track!!! Crewe was amazing, DNF in heat, Consi 8th and Final 11th GN was cancelled, sadly. Scored 1 point and was on the National Points list!! I wanted my monies worth as the GN was cancelled so asked Frankie if I could hire the car for the NOY at Boston. In the end I hired Frankie Seniors car for a wet Skegness, finishing 9th in Heat but the alternator went in the Consi. Unfortunately it couldn't be repaired for Boston and I missed out on the NOY race. Thoroughly enjoyed it and could see why drivers race all the time. 2021 is my 50th year of BriSCA F1 Stock Cars.
