First Car - Built, Bought or Borrowed
My father and I built the first car for her to race. It was a Canadian Ford WW2 army truck with a side valve V8 and a Vauxhall pre - war body. I think it may have been the first special of it's time, not completely stock.
Memory of your first race.

Her next car was a pre - war Ford V8 driven by the actor Paul Carpenter in the film Stock Car.

Reason for Retiring
She stopped racing in 1958 when my father became ill and later that year died.
