How did you find Brisca F1 Stock Cars?
Lived near Rochdale, and grandparents in Crewe, so saw stock cars or bangers there, and Belle Vue initially
What gave you the incentive to race
Wanted to be like my 'heroes' , Mark Holt (6166) and Wolfy (190) were working at my Dads place late 80's early 90's, and we used to mechanic for Paddy Byrne (310)
First Car - Built, Bought or Borrowed
First (and only!) car was bought off Mike Heywood 424 - was an ex 218 165 car with a ford 429 in it.
Memory of your first race.
Was at Crewe, and just remember how fast it was for everyone bar me ! And then found out due to the carnage around, I had qualified for the final despite being 2 laps or so down.
Best Racing Memory
Driving out into the Bradford bowl and in awe at the size of the place from that view point! Also having the likes of Wolfy being a part time mechanic for me :)
Worst Racing Memory
Being stranded on Crewe's back straight, side on for several laps until 515 took the back axle and bumper out.
Reason for Retiring
Couldnt afford to compete and wanted the money for my road car when I turned 17.
After Retiring - What Then?
Nothing else other than mechanicing for Mark Taylor, signwriting other peoples cars and spectating up until 2004....then did rookirods under number 555 1 and was 2005 champion, then a go in Hot Fords, then Formula two stockcars in 2007 under number 790 , 1300 saloonstox in 2009 as number 3 , and was 2009 champion.
